    How to remove and install the Tailgate Handle and Tailgate Latch on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer

    First of all, take out the inner screws of the panel, and gently pull off the water shield from the inner panel housing. After that, turning the plastic retainers counterclockwise, remove the control rods from the handle and unbolt the latch handle from the tailgate. For the tailgate latch, firstly, you need to lower the tailgate after which you’ll then take out the bolts that hold the latch to the tailgate and then pull out the latch to disconnect the actuator rod. Finally, installation is the same as removal, also for each of the components.
